AEROBIC VIDEOS

Aerobics classes at the fitness center are a great way to stay motivated, to burn that extra fat and to get a good workout. Not everyone has the time or ability to travel to the gym for classes or the classes may not be scheduled at times when they are available. This does not have to keep you from getting a great aerobic workout.

You may already have the resources you need buried somewhere in a storage area of your home gathering dust; aerobic videos.

Why are these videos gathering dust in many of our homes and how is it that some people find such great success with aerobic videos?

The blame is not really on the aerobic videos but on the person they are intended for; it is all in the attitude.

Having the right attitude regarding exercise in general will help you to find the enjoyment in what some feel is grueling work. With the right attitude you will have success and those videos need not gather dust any more.

You will be able to plug them in, move your body with them and reach your goals. With the motivation that comes from deep inside you a brand new attitude can be found in your aerobic videos.

Remember to set realistic goals and start slow but effective. You may find yourself burned out quickly if you try to jump into a daily exercise regime. Starting with a goal of working out every other day and taking an additional day off is a good place to begin. Additionally, starting with a two hour aerobic video may be too much, try working out for 30 minutes in the beginning and you will find you not only build your motivation but also your confidence and abilities.

To fully enjoy your aerobic videos and make them as effective as possible you will need to make sure you have plenty of room to do the workout. It will not require a full 10’ x 10’ space but you will need an area that is clutter free to move around in.

Begin your new found motivation by setting a time that you set aside for your workout and select the video you will use for the day. Make sure to drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout as well.

You may not be exhausted by the end of the workout and you may not be sore the next day, resist the urge to up the intensity until the planned time, this will help you avoid that burn out.

Finally, set yourself up with a variety of aerobic videos that include different styles as well as different intensity levels to change things up and keep it interesting. Boredom is one of the biggest motivation killers. Having choices and fun exercises to choose from helps keep that boredom at bay and help to ensure your success.
